Spanish Language Missions: Honduras

Abigail moved to Gracias, Lempira Honduras in the summer of 2024. After working with students at a Christian Bilingual School in Gracias, she knew that God was calling her to continue serving in Honduras.

Abigail has been taking an immersive Spanish course at the Spanish Institute of Honduras in Siguatepeque to better communicate with Hondurans, and therefore better share and live out the Gospel.

As she took classes, she realized that God had brought her to the Institute to empower other missionaries by helping them feel welcome as they adapt to a new culture and language as well as equipping them to learn the language they need to share the Gospel in Honduras! She lives and works in Siguatepeque, Honduras.

Abigail serves in multiple facets:

1. Working alongside the Spanish Institute of Honduras, Abigail handles the administration of the institute which puts her in the perfect position to encourage and support many other missionaries who come through the institute.

2. ⁠ Building intentional relationships with the Honduran teachers of the Spanish Institute.

3. ⁠Actively serving in the area of Siguatepeque to connect new missionaries to service opportunities and ensure that they may unite with the community.

4. ⁠Prayerfully disciples those around her, challenging them to be disciples who make disciples and use the gifts God has given them for God’s purposes.

5. ⁠Assist in creating an infrastructure in which Send Me Ministries can invite Christ followers, from the U.S and Honduras alike, to serve alongside them and grow God’s Kingdom work in Honduras.”
